Mary Zimmerli, RN – Director of Nursing Services

Mary has been with Sandalwood since November of 2001.  After spending a day as an RN within the community she was asked if she would be interested in learning the MDS process.  She was agreeable and little did she know at the time she would go on to be a Colavria MDS Guru. It was March of 2008 that she was promoted to the Nursing Leadership position of Director of Nursing Services- Mary is not a woman of titles and prefers to be referred to as a Nurse Leader along with her executive team.  She has a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry.  Mary has been involved in long term care since she was 16 years old.  She is a member of AANAC and an Eden Associate. Mary’s ultimate priority is resident care and she shares this passion with her team.   When Mary is not leading her Nursing Team she enjoys the outdoors- she is a mother of 3, avid gardener, great cook and loves to read.
